Abstract:
The Conrad Prebys Center for Chemical Genomics (Prebys Center) is a biocoastal full-integrated lead generation and pre-clinical drug discovery unit with all the necessary, robust ‘world class’ industrial-grade functional capabilities and expertise to conduct hit-finding, hit-to-lead, lead optimization, and ADME/T DMPK to support pre-clinical candidate selection. We will describe our industry-seasoned staff, infrastructure & enabling technology investments in miniaturized automated uHTS and imaging-based HCS, and stem cell models that differentiate us among academic screening center. We will share our collaborations models, processes & metrics that have allowed us to successfully manage, complete and transact 40-50 projects annually within our current portfolio of translational research projects derived from the NIH Molecular Libraries Program, the NCI Chemical Biological Consortium, and the Mayo Clinic. These collaborations represent academicians and principal investigators from over 35 international leading academic and non-profit institutes. Additionally, we will describe our experience in multi-target collaborations a number of companies including Janssen Pharmaceuticals that benefitted from close alignment and collaboration with business development operations from both organizations.
